Pretty eyes on emotive sclera // customs, defaults & geneticized
Additional 5 recolours + complete set of contacts

I was getting frustrated with my current eye set and the BLACK PIT OF DOOM syndrome from which they were suffering. Wanting something similar to what I already had but appearing on an emotion friendly sclera I decided to team up Yumedust's Eyelove eyes (recommended by [info]simsforaranya) with Anva's V1 Legacy Sclera to try and achieve my goal of pretties + non-doompits. I believe I've succeeded and thusly I share with you the fruits of my labours :D

SOME EXAMPLES OF THE EYEBALLS IN ACTION:

DOWNLOAD CUSTOM SET

DOWNLOAD GENETICIZED & TOWNIFIED SET

The following are all of the eyes -- Yumedust's original 42 colours + 5 recolours by me (Topaz Butterscotch, Scarlet, Tangerine, Fairy Floss & Lime) in order of their geneticism.

Dominant (1):
DOMINANT

'Middle of the Road' (1.5):
MIDDLE

Recessive (2):
RECESSIVE

 

DOWNLOAD DEFAULT REPLACEMENTS:

HUGE thankyou to [info]skittlebox from [info]skittledboxes, without whom the defaults just would not have happened: ie she totally made the defaults for me from my textures because I couldn't get dds tools to work in simpe + the fact that she is made of sheer awesome.

Remember, you can only have one of each colour default replacement (ie: one brown, one green, one dark blue etc) in your game, and you can only use one set of defaults at a time. Choose wisely and don't forget to remove any old defaults you're currently using before starting up your game.

DEFAULT BROWNS:
DEFAULTS: BROWN
amber // bronze // chocolat // clementine // golden

DEFAULT GREENS:
DEFAULTS: GREEN
chartreuse // forest // ivy // keep // lime // spring

DEFAULT DARK BLUES:
DEFAULTS: DARK BLUE
andromeda // carribbean // fable // eva // stardust // starry

DEFAULT LIGHT BLUES:
DEFAULTS: LIGHT BLUE
cerulean // chilli // softly // submerge // valkyrie

DEFAULT GREYS:
DEFAULT: GREY
aurora // heaven // lilac // luma // marble // silver

 

EXTRA!! :D :: CONTACT LENSES

I needed some contacts of Tangerine for my Kohler-Wielle hood and I wanted a pair of contacts for my Founder Challenge Three founder (cause you're not allowed to change genetics at all but no one said I couldn't change their visual aesthetic with contacts :D :D) so I created Tangering and Topaz Butterscotch as contacts. OKAY although all that stuff is still true, I have a WHOLE LOT MORE NOW. And by a whole lot more, I mean the ENTIRE set of eyes in contacts form. The first two I mentioned in the struck out section are still available individually, as is Lime as I'd done that earlier and forgotten to share it for the LONGEST TIME. BUT! Now you can also download a zip filled with all the rest. Pertinently named so you can just grab the ones you want if you don't want all 47 clogging up your catalogue. If you download you'll find them in Makeup - Costume/Full Face Makeup

Tangerine // Topaz Butterscotch // Lime

Download all 47 eye colours as contacts

 

A FINAL NOTE:

Remember, all credit goes to Yumedust & Anva for their work, all I did was mash them together and add a few hue/saturation recolours. And enormous thanks go to [info]skittlebox ([info]skittledboxes) for her defaultification skills. ^_^

ALSO! If you have any issues with the downloads, try right-click (or command click on a mac) and "Save As..."

I love you! I love Yumedust eyes and have had them as defaults since they started to roam around, first without any special sclera and later with Anvas V2 sclera which was the best I could find. But this is perfect! I can have sim-emotion friendly eyes AND Yumedust lovely eyes.

:D They're definitely worth the work -- I replaced EVERYONE in the KW's hood with these eyes with SimPE - lawds effort! xD -- but it totally paid off I have to say :D

This... this is honestly, EXACTLY WHAT I NEED. I downloaded these last week, only to find that there was too much of a shadow and the animations looked awful.

I love you for these! I just worry that if I replace my old set of geneticized eyes it's gonna make all of my generated townies eyeless.

xD! They don't get eyeless as such, they just take on the eyes that are in the skin -- usually I think its this weird overly defined maxis one that seems to be on all skins which is WAY nicer than any actual maxis eyes. *doesn't get it*

Maybe its not a maxis one and is one drawn by ephemera or something.. I AM NOT SURE! xD

And true, you COULD always just off them muhahhahaaa! :D :D

(btw, could you point me in the direction of a tutorial that will explain how to place eyes on the emote friendly sclera? I have a few eye sets I'd like to change and can't find anything to help me out. =D)

Um, unfortunately no since I just worked it out... ^_^;; *laughs* It's pretty easy though very time consuming. xD

Basically all you need do is export the file that has the sclera you want from Bodyshop, and then export all the eyes you want. Then basically you copy everything from the sclera file texture except the pupil/retina etc over the top of that area on the textures of each of the eyes you want to 'fix'
